One moment near tears because of disobedient children.
One girl sad because swimming class filled before I got around to calling about it.
Two hours at library story/craft time.
Two hours at the playground.
Three homemade meals (more-or-less) that I had to try to convince #1 to eat and #2 to eat in one sitting instead of getting down to play between each bite.
Several books read.
Way too much time cleaning yogurt, pasta sauce and potato soup off the floor.
Eleven hours without speaking to another adult (except the lady I called about swim class.)

So, remind me: Why do some people CHOOSE to do this all day every day for years rather than getting a job? Most days — even fairly good ones like today — I don’t really get it.
