For a while, I was doing a weekly feature called Thankful Thursday. I let it peter out and I’m not sure why. But it occurred to me today that it would be perfect for twitter. So I’m going to attempt to start a hashtag movement. But I’m going to run it as a blog feature as well for those who don’t use twitter.
So each Thursday, I’ll post what I’m thankful for and you can leave what you are thankful for in the comments, as a link in the comments, in response to this post on facebook or on twitter with the hashtag #thursthanks. I’ll work up a cute little button to put on your blog posts if you participate that way. But that’ll have to wait a bit as I want to get this posted before Thursday fades away.
I am thankful that:
- I stepped away from a stressful situation with Grace today and apologized.
- I took the time to hold Ellie through an entire nap today. It was calming for me, and she got a longer-than-usual nap.
- I have someone willing to drive Grace to and from school most days.
Here are my past Thankful Thursday posts.

Thanks for your recent visit to my blog! I love the name of your site. Perhaps I too can recover from my own procrastination. Maybe…

That’s funny because I’m in the process of changing the name.
You definitely can recover from it though. I recommend “The Procrastinator’s Handbook” by Rita Emmett.

I needed this today. I’ve been snarky and moody. I am thankful that I’ll be able to do my C25k workout tonight and that storms are promised that can stamp down some of the allergens.

I am thankful we decided on a place to live and the application was approved very quickly. We decided on the new building vs staying in our current building.

Thankful Thursday, indeed!
I am thankful for more movement in the house buying process – purchase agreement should be signed tomorrow, contingent on inspection, hopefully inspection next week!
I am thankful for finishing the next phase of a multi-phase gigantic household paper sorting, collating, and filing project.
I am thankful for so many wonderful blogs and bloggers, who share their lives and stories with the rest of us!
I am thankful for those who have sought happiness and found things about which they are passionate in their lives – it gives hope to those of us who are still struggling to find their way.
I am thankful for health issues that I can (mostly) manage.
Finally, I am thankful for my husband, who is a true partner, and for our marriage, which is the best relationship I’ve ever had. (I am also thankful that I finally believe that I deserve this!)

This is a nice idea.
I’m thankful for my big extended family because we were able to help each other get through my grandpa’s funeral today.

Jen, I love this idea. It’s so nice to stop and just be, well, thankful, every once in awhile.
I am thankful for a week where we were all healthy!
